| The independently-owned, 4 star London Bridge Hotel, which opened in Autumn '98, is in an ideal location on the edge of the City of London. The hotel site has a heritage which dates back to Roman Britain when the area was already at the centre of links with Europe - both in commerce and communications. All the rooms have satellite TV, voice mail telephone, safe (large enough to take a laptop computer), and secondary glazing in rooms which face onto the street. There are six rooms for the disabled, two non-smoking floors, an executive floor, deluxe rooms and executive kings and three suites. The hotel provides five conference rooms for meetings or private dining for 8-100 people. All are available with the latest audio-visual equipment and ISDN lines for video conferencing. The newly opened Borough Bar & Dining is a spacious, contemporary bar offering a wide choice of drinks and excellent food in a relaxing atmosphere. Open 7 days a week. At the London Bridge Hotel, the emphasis is on exceptionally good but unobtrusive service. The hotel has 138 air-conditioned rooms, some designed for non-smokers and disabled visitors. All with an elegant blend of modern and classic furnishings. In addition to the large deluxe rooms with sofa beds, there are also executive rooms and suites and three apartments available for short and long term lets. All rooms have private bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, voicemail, modem/fax port, mini-bar, hairdryer, trouser press, in-room safe, tea / coffee making facilities. The executive kings and suites have duvets, fibre optic lighting, iron/board, telephone and speakers in the bathroom. The hotels Gymnasium has undergone refurbishment, and is now a branch of "Fitness First" with all the modern technology and relaxation treatments. |
